Proceeds From Ticket Sales Will Also Support Ofc. Richard Pittmon Memorial Scholarship Fund

Officer Pittmon and I went to the police academy together and both worked for DeSoto Police Department as school resource officers. He was also in my wedding as a groomsman. In 2004, Ofc. Pittmon lost his battle with cancer. In 2018, I had my own cancer scare. Presently, I’m cancer free, but it got me to thinking I could do more with giving back to others. So in 2018 I put on my first Live2Lead event to raise funds for the Officer Richard Pittmon Memorial Scholarship Fund. This year the widow of Ofc. Pittmon has given me permission to fundraise again. I’ve also arranged to partner with Folds of Honor and they have also agreed to allow me to help raise funds for their scholarship program for  the children of fallen Servicemen and Children of Veterans/Disabled veterans.

Marcus Buckingham is a global researcher and thought leader focused on unlocking strengths, increasing performance and pioneering the future of how people work. Building on nearly two decades of experience as a Senior Researcher at Gallup Organization, he currently guides the vision of ADP Research Institute as Head of People + Performance research. He founded The Marcus Buckingham Company in 2006 with a clear mission: to instigate a “strengths revolution.” It started, as all revolutions do, with the simplest of ideas: that when people spend the majority of each day on the job using their greatest talents and engaged in their favorite tasks, basically doing exactly what they want to do, both they and their organizations will win.
